Fight on equal footing
Dear Readers,
this new issue of it-biz serves as a business card providing
you with information concerning Italy’s most lively and dynamic
companies.
The Ferretti group is a thriving example of a business that is in
constant expansion, with an able administration and employees always
searching for greater quality in order to meet their clients and
customers’ needs.
The Made in Italy mark embodies this and other aspects of industry:
fashion, technology, architecture, design, agriculture and tourism.
This is a wealth of tradition that we must protect and continue to
develop in order to retain the leadership that we have acquired
throughout the years.
Our collection of reports concerning counterfeited products that carry
the Made in Italy mark is aimed at opening a window on a situation
that undermines our economy. Spokesmen of both Italian and
international institutions and industries have expressed their
opinions and they have given alarming information on the dimensions of
the problem. We must take action in order for these commonly
agreed-upon priorities to become rules that everyone will respect.
This is the only way to fight on equal footing. Despite these
hindrances, there are important sectors that are performing well. In
an attempt to demonstrate this, we have interviewed prominent
entrepreneurs and financiers, with the hope that this will support our
editorial mission: promoting business between Italy and the United
States, thus propelling the Made in Italy mark while at the same time
protecting it. This also involves familiarizing the public with the
Italian approach to business and life, which benefits from living in
one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Indeed, Italy’s art,
culture, food, wine, and its extraordinary scenic beauty attracts
millions of tourists every year.
Unfortunately, however, we have been surpassed by France and Spain
regarding tourism, and we will offer an accurate analysis of this
sector derived from the compared opinions of commercial and
institutional insiders. These aspects will be amply reviewed in the
next issue. Enjoy your read.
